Our education mission is to provide a valuable education resource for teachers in the area based on our wealth of historical archival material. We plan to develop a partnership model that will provide lessons to supplement museum exhibits. Field trip visits to the museum will be an important component and in advance of these visits, teachers will be provided with a Teacher Guide, Lesson Plans, Student Activities and Essential Questions. Using a professional development format, we hope to engage teachers, local university staff, and intern teachers in the process.
